Date limite de participation: 19 mars 2023
The Hamburg Institute for Social Research (HIS) is seeking to fill, as of 01.08.2023 and for a limited period of three years,
2 PhD Positions (f/m/d)
(part-time, 65 %)
The applicants are expected to build upon the results of a research network of the Hamburg Institute for Social Research (HIS) with the German Historical Institutes in Rome, London and Warsaw, which is currently investigating the historical roots of alternative forms of European integration from a transnational perspective, and develop them further. The doctoral projects associated with the two advertised positions should be self-designed, but should – within the broader thematic field of the research network – focus on or connect with the history of Western Europe (broadly conceived).
If so desired, doctoral candidates will have the opportunity to apply for participation in the doctoral program of the Centre d’Histoire of Sciences Po in Paris, and will be supported by the HIS in doing so. In addition to working on an independent project, applicants are expected to contribute to the conception and realisation of international workshops and conferences at the HIS.
